POCIS Private Defensive Shooting Fundamentals Class

POCIS sponsors KimKong Firearm Instruction LLC. We are welcoming Buffalo Ridge Defense to bring this specialized class to our community.

The USCCA Certified Defensive Pistol course has two segments,  an eLearning presentation and 4-hours at the range. The eLearning provides an introduction and explanation of the techniques that will assist students in advancing their defensive shooting skills. The range time allows students to effectively apply these techniques under the direction of a USCCA certified instructor.

This training will help students transition from just shooting paper targets to better understanding the basics of defending themselves with their chosen handgun; the context of this training centers around an armed citizen’s initial response to a violent ambush. The intuitive defense techniques utilized within this program build on the body’s naturally occurring physiological/psychological responses experienced when exposed to a violent threat.
